Making Harmonious Dog Homes ~ One Dog at a Time

Balanced Obedience

We use a balanced one-on-one approach to dog training that combines classical and elements of operant conditioning. Science tells us that we have 1.3 seconds to effectively influence a dog’s behavior. It’s in that window that we carefully craft your dog’s training. With timing, motivation, and consistency as our training principles. With these same principles we teach you how to keep the consistency for long term memory.

On-Leash Engagement Skills Taught

  • Sit
  • Down
  • Come, Here, Recall
  • Climb
  • Loose Leash Manners (heel)

We teach your dog to respond to voice commands, and not react to your body language. Your dog then becomes directional with those commands (meaning he comprehends the commands and is in his long term memory).

Advanced Obedience ~ Foundation Service work

This program builds off the foundation of leash work started in the Basic Obedience program, with the same three principles, while transitioning skills and communication OFF leash.

  • Greater mastery of the basic commands sit, down, recall, climb, and loose leash manners
  • Off-leash manners and behavior over greater distance, distractions and duration
  • Optionally, we’ll provide e-collar (muscle stimulation collar) training, which gives you greater distance in obedience commands and communication
